I skated there with my friends on Sundays.I went to Lane and livedc in Albany Park.I would take the Elston ave bus rto Belmont and the bus again to Western Ave.
Those were good times compared to know. How about taking the Eltrain to Chicago Bandstand with Dave Hull? NBC 5 in the Merchandise mart.
I skated at Riverview roller rink from 1959 till 67 when I got drafted into the army. Me and some of my buddies started a club called the Pacemakers and used to pretty much dominate the intermission races. The guards kept moving our starting line further and further back every week to give other kids a better chance. We all wore blue dress shirts with a winged wheel and PACEMAKER embroidered on the back and our name on the front.
