The price of the event is $60 and it covers round trip transportation, the cost of admission, refreshments, bottle water, bus fun and raffles. We had a blast! We had a great time chowing and laughing driving down on the PhaZe bus and right on schedule. Detroit welcomed us with some love! They called and Detroit showed up, showed out and rolled hard! They had a nice format, ladies only, men only, all skate and we particularly enjoyed the step format where everyone stopped and stepped in place for two songs. That was sweet! On behalf of entire crew, we’d like to say thank you Detroit for an exceptionally warm and fun time.
Giving special thanks and shout out to Damon the Sk8 Doctor (PhaZe II CDC [Chicago-Detroit Connection]) & Raphael B for the promotions along with FunSize Schlinda, Ms. Jennifer for taking care of us at admissions, Cynthia of Handz of Gold for the beautiful skate towels embroidered in gold and t-shirt, Ms. Jazzy Kim for the delicious skate designed suckers and warm hospitality, they even made scrumptious pecan cookies which were off the chain! The love they gave us was indescribable. Most notable, the Chicago skaters that came down. To name a few, Eric, Ms. Lou, G-Man and Tuly. There was many more and we thank you all for a wonderful roll and good time.
Lastly, special thanks to our driver and conductor Terry T-Bone who got us there and back safely, Photographer Tira Lady Tee for capturing the moment and Carmen Lady Diva who could not make it down with us but her presence was shown with her Mickey Mouse bag and checklist to ensure everything was in order.
Our road trip was everything we hoped it would be PLUS. We even have the Detroit skate fam coming down to support our twins skate party on May 18 @ Glenwood. Now that’s love and what it’s all about. Supporting grown-folks fun! Until next time, roll hard — roll safe!
