Legendary Chicago roller skater John Hill, better known as “Big John”, passed away from a massive heart attack last week. He was my dude. He taught me – and a lot of people – many skate moves.
I met him at Glenwood Roller Rink in Glenwood, IL. But I heard that he was the best skater at Screamin’ Wheels Roller Rink in Gary, IN in the 70s and 80s.
Big John will be missed.
